7 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast at your hotel, your experience starts with a journey to Western Uganda along the Kampala-Masaka road. The first stop-over will be for a visit at the Uganda Equator line where you can also take memory photos and visit craft shop and then proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will transfer to your lodge to check in and have lunch. After a short relaxation at your booked accomodation, you will have an afternoon game drive that will give you a chance of viewing and having an experience of the several savannah animals. Later return back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK AND IGONGO CULTURAL CENTER
After an early breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi making your first stop at Igongo Cultural Center and Hotel, the ultimate destination for lovers of history, art, culture, and comfort. Here you will have a meal chosen from a variety of local cuisines and also experience the South-western Uganda museum plus the Western Uganda culture. After this adventure at Igongo, you will proceed on the journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is known as the Switzerland of Africa because if its beauty and the surrounding islands on this Lake. You will checkin at your hotel, relax with views of the Lake, Dinner and over night.
DAY 3: BOAT RIDE LAKE BUNYONYI AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up to a breath-taking nature view of Lake Bunyonyi, an early morning breakfast served and then proceed with a boat-cruise/canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi touring the different islands on the lake and viewing different bird species. This experience will take 2 hours after which you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Forest with a stop for lunch then proceed to your final destination to enjoy the mountain gorilla tour. Check in at the lodge in Bwindi then rest as you prepare for the Gorilla trek early the next day.
DAY 4: GORILLA TREKKING BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the park entrance for briefing about the trek in Bwindi This park is a home to almost half of the world’s surviving mountain gorillas, 120 other species of mammals and over 350 bird species. The trekking through the thick forest is an opportunity to have the rare encounter of seeing gorillas in their natural habitat and a chance to view some other attractions in the park. The trek will take about 4 to 8 hours with the help and guidance of park rangers and porters. You will head back to hotel for lunch after the experience and later have a guided community walk to visit the known Batwa community where you will be entertained and experience local songs and dances, learn about their culture and history then walk back to the lodge to relax, dinner and overnight.
DAY 5:TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK- Ishasha sector(tree climbing lions)
You will have breakfast after waking up of the sounds of nature of the forest and then will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park with a stop on the journey for lunch. On arriving to the park, you will drive through the Isasha sector a famous place for viewing Tree climbing lions. You will see over 4 to 6 lions laying on the fig trees and other wild life species in this sector. Drive to your booked accommodation for relaxation and prepare for the next day. Dinner and over stay in Queen Elizabeth national park.
DAY 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE
You will have an early morning breakfast and then drive to the park entrance for a morning game drive in the open savannahs of the park with a lot of wildlife including the buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, bush buck, monkeys, baboons and hyenas, lions along with lots of birds. Then return to lodge for lunch and drive to catch your 2 hours’ boat cruise along the panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel where much of its park wildlife congregates along the water banks including the elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and water birds. After this experience, you will then return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 7: RETURN TO KAMPALA
Early your breakfast, you will return back to kampala with different stops, you will have lunch on journey and then drive to the airport to catch your flight or to your booked accommodation in Kampala.
