12 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari
This 12-day tour will take you to Murchison falls national park where you will view the Big 5 animals and visit the heavy falls give you a chance to have a 4 hours gorilla habituation experience in the jungle of the playful gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest, it is not only covered with the great apes but also several scenic trails and a diverse number of species of mammals like chimpanzees, butterflies, amazing bird species, species of geckos, chameleons, and lots of unique flora such as vines, mahogany, ferns, and bamboo plant species to see, tracking in Mgahinga national park the only park where golden monkeys exist. A relaxation at the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi which is known for being Africa’s second deepest lake, this tour will further take you for a wildlife adventure in Queen Elizabeth National park where you will see over 6 lions hanging on the fig trees in Isasha sector making it an experience of a lifetime, you will view other several wildlife species in the park like elephants, Antelopes, Buffaloes, kobs, leopards, warthogs, among many others. Enjoy a second game drive and Launch cruise in Queen that will get you closer to the wild animals. This tour will end with a visit to Kibale National Park the best safari destination for Chimpanzee trekking with a Guided swamp walk in Bigodi.

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our Twist African Safaris tour guide who will have a chart bearing your name. He will welcome you and take you through a short briefing about your tour then drive you to your booked accommodation in Kampala for relaxation.
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK AND ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
Have your early breakfast at the hotel, meet our tour guide and start the drive to Murchison falls National park. After about 3 hours you will make a first stop to visit the Uganda Rhino sanctuary (Ziwa). With the help of a ranger you will go for a 2 hours nature walk/rhino trek to experience the magnificent and endangered rhinos. This is the only place where you will have a chance to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat in Uganda.
After enjoying this adventure, you will drive to Kabalega Resort for a hot lunch and relaxation then proceed to your final destination with a drive through Budongo Forest where you will encounter several monkeys and Baboons along the way. On arriving to the park, you will drive to the park entrance and enjoy a short sunset game drive in search for wildlife species like lions, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants among many others. Drive to your booked accommodation for relaxation dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: MORNING GAME- DRIVE AND AFTERNOON LAUNCH CRUISE- HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE FALLS
By sunrise, you will meet our guide after breakfast who will transfer you to the park entrance for a 5 hours morning game drive. With your driver-guide choosing a route based on his extensive knowledge of the park and local conditions you will have a chance to do a second game drive for more wild animals like several antelopes, oribis, kobs, lions, elephants, giraffes, African buffaloes, warthogs, water bucks among many others.
Have lunch and drive to the shores of the Nile for a 2 hours boat ride and hike. This cruise is truly amazing as it will give you a memorable view at the bottom of the falls with a chance to get up close to some of the aquatic animals such as hippos, crocodiles, water bucks, buffaloes, elephants with Murchison birds commonly sighted such as the goliath heron, king fisher, weaver birds, cattle egrets, and the beautiful scenery along the bank.
At the bottom of the falls, you will then hike to the top of the falls where you will choose to take pictures at the rocks below the powerful falls. Drive back to hotel for relaxing, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Kibale national park which is a primate destination and a home to over 1400 chimpanzees. This might be a long drive but it is filled with a lot to explore along the journey with the guidance of the tour guide on different stops with a lunch enroute.
You may also choose to fly from Murchison with a domestic flight to avoid the long hours drive. Upon reaching the park you will drive to your booked accommodation to relax as you prepare for your chimpanzee trek early the next day. Dinner and over night at the lodge.

DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK
Have an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunches you will transfer to the briefing point where you will be taken through the code of conduct in the forest, you will then be allocated to a chimpanzee community to trek with the lead of your ranger guide on the search of chimps.
The experience in memorable as you will listen to the sounds / noises of the chimpanzees in the forest, watch them in their natural habitat as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor, feed, play and rest. After this activity you will explore the Bigodi swamp area on a guided walk. This visit is filled with spectacular birds like the Great Blue Turaco, lots of butterflies, plants and animals like different monkeys, Bush bucks, antelopes etc. After this experience you will take a village walk that will lead you for a coffee experience, banana beer making, among others. Return back to the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK AND AFTERNOON LAUNCH CRUISE
Have you breakfast and start a 3 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. Upon reaching the hotel and park you will have and enjoy 2 hours Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. This experience is spectacular as it gives you a chance to see a high concentration of Hippos and Crocodiles in water while elephants, waterbucks and buffaloes grazing on the banks of the channel as well as an array of birdlife including; the kingfishers, Egyptian fish eagle saddle billed stork, among others. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND ISASHSA SECTOR
After an early morning breakfast by sunrise you will drive to the park entrance. This drive through the park will give you a chance to spot several wild life species in the park like buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, water buck, lions among others. Visit the Salt Lake Katwe, have lunch and drive to Isasha sector. View the famous tree-climbing lions a behavior that these big cats only have in a few places. On a search for tree-climbing lions, expect to see over 4-6 lions climbing and hanging on the fig trees. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK AND BATWA CULTURAL TOUR
You will have your breakfast and embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National park with a lunch en route. Upon reaching the park you will check in to your booked accommodation for relaxion. Later in the afternoon you may choose to have a guided community tour to visit the Batwa people who lived in the Bwindi forest, they will take you through their culture through their amazing songs, dances with different cultural activities ie to make fire out of wood. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: GORILLA HABITUATION/ TREKKING EXPERIENCE
Wake up for a heavy breakfast, meet the guide with your packed lunch and water you will drive to the park head- quarters for a short briefing by the park officials about the gorilla habituation experience. You will then start off the hike to habituate mountain gorillas. Once you come face to face with a gorilla group you will spend 4 hours training it to get used with human presence. This whole experience may take up a full day depending on the length of the gorilla trek. Head back to the head- quarters where you will meet your guide to transfer back to the lodge for relaxation dinner and an overstay.

DAY 9: GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING AND TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI
Have breakfast meet the guide and transfer Mgahinga National park where you will drive to the park head-quarters and set for the golden monkey tracking experience. The monkeys are primarily found in the bamboo forest that skirt the lower slopes of the volcanoes. This activity will not take more than 3 hours, have lunch and transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi Africa’s second deepest Lake which is a perfect relaxation place to during any safari. Once you arrive at your booked accommodation you will be welcomed by the beautiful views the Lake and a few islands can be spotted from your lodge. Check in to your room and have a great relaxation time at the hotel with dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 10: MORNING BOAT RIDE LAKE BUNYONYI AND ISLAND TOUR
Waking up to the beautiful views of the lake, you will have a leisurely breakfast and drive to the Landing site of the Lake for a 2 hours local Boat experience where you will have a chance to go through the 27 different Islands at the beautiful and peaceful lake Bunyonyi such as Punishment island, Sharp island among many others. You will learn about the history of the lake through the guidance of a local guide. Expect to view some Bird species on the boat ride and later head back to the Lodge for relaxation, lunch, dinner and overnight. Other optional activities to do at Lake Bunyonyi include: Community walk, Zip lining, Swimming etc.

DAY 11: TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
You will have breakfast and embark on the journey back to Kampala. You will make a stop at Igongo cultural center for lunch with a tour to the cultural museum then proceed with another stop at the Uganda Equator along Masaka road in Kayabwe for photography. Feel free to buy some gifts and crafts at this place in African shops then continue on the drive to Kampala where you will drive to your booked hotel or to the Airport.
